About

The Moranbah Bulldogs Australian Rules Football Club is a country football club that was established in 1975.  Originally competing in the Mackay Australian Football League competition, the Bulldogs joined the now defunct Central Highlands Competition.  The Bulldogs again returned to the Mackay competition but a downturn in the coal market saw the Doggies again re-join the Central Highlands Competition.  Following a period in the wilderness Moranbah re-joined the Mackay comp in 2005 and despite some heavy defeats the team continued to remain resilient and improve each year.  Unfortunately, we were unable to field either a Senior Men’s or Women’s team in 2020 however we entered both Senior teams back into the competition in 2021.  The 2023 season sees us entering a Senior Women’s team.

Moranbah will also field young teams competing in the Mackay AFL Junior competition with the Under 12.5’s, Under 14.5’s and Under 17.5’s boys and we are working hard to find a competition for our Under 17’s girls team, as well as a dynamic Junior Match Program & the popular Auskick program.  Established in 1974, the club has a proud history located in Moranbah, Queensland and is a part of the Central Highlands AFL League. The 2022 season saw us with almost 200 registered Junior AFL players.
